- I don't believe EMM386.EXE is required to run Windows in Enhanced-mode.
- EMM386 is the Expanded Memory Manager -- Window's doesn't use this type of
- memory. Windows requires HIMEM.SYS which controls the Extended-memory.
- Expanded memory is mainly used by DOS applications.
